I'm thinking about getting a pet lizard. i have a fish tank not being used, could i use that as a housing unit for a lizard? Not sure what type of lizard i would like to get still looking in to that. Any suggestions?

A 20gal tank is ok to use for lizards except for iguanas, unless you plan to move it to a bigger tank as it grows. If your plan is to use this tank for the lizards life expectancy than I would suggest something like a bearded dragon or smaller.

there are a few cool websites that I have found to have a wide variety of reptiles.

hope I was able to help you out

Here's another one..... have you ever thought about getting a snake?

and what ever you decide to do makes sure you get a tight fitting screen lid, or a slide lid that locks into place.

sure! as long as its clean and it has a tight screen lid thats perfect, my first reptile was anoles which are kinda fun, but snakes are always cool too, it takes some thought but it comes down to what you like best =]

Definitely..make sure as you have a secure lid. preferably a screen lid. Do some research on different reptile and their requirements. Geckos are great started reptiles and there are tons of different types.

sure. i used to use old fish tanks that people would give me and what not for my snakes. i would just clean them out really well and then spray the walls down with reptile relief and wipe it clean and get a screen top with the locking clips.
