did you make sure that all the wires that you disconnected got hooked back up because there's a lot of wires that could have got in a bind and got knocked loose on that truck, when i replaced mine in my truck i forgot to hook the crank sensor back up and that made it not start, check that, and go back over everything on it,one loose wire will kill it dead in its tracks, good luck.

...not run.? It was running fine before I replaced the tranny now it will not run at all it will turn over but not run. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what it might be? I would be very grateful. Thank you

That vehicle has a crankshaft position sensor mounted to the back of the engine which protrudes through a cutout in the top of the transmission bellhousing to read the tonewheel that is part of the flywheel.
If you werent extremely carefull installing the new trans it's really easy to smack the sensor with the front of the trans during installation damaging it. It's not gonna start without a crank signal.
You access that sensor from the top rear of the engine towards the passenger side. You can barely even see it so you basically do it by brail. It's attatched with two bolts, either 13mm or TORX head and then it pulls straight up.
Only thing i can think of since it ran before you replaced the trans.
Oh yeah, and Ive done it myself before......
Best of Luck
