I have a 1997 mazda millena and i think my transmission is slipping?

I have a 97' mazda millena and I think my transmission is slipping but I'm not forsure and when it shifts from 1st to 2nd its like it dosent wanna shift to 3rd. So is my transmission slipping and how much would it cost?
