I have a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire. Why does it jerk when I leave a stop sign?

I had a transmission filter changed, tune up and oil change. I think maybe I need some transmission fluid. This my first car and don't know much about cars and need help with this issue. I think its the trans but not too sure. Any suggestions?
