almost certain ya need an oxygen sensor...Have it scanned at 'auto zone' . . for free.if no trouble codes are stored look to see if the sensor is working. a very common problem with these old girls! If the exhaust stinks real bad...you are on the road to recvery . Ask the guy to look at the scanner to see if he can tell ya what the fuel trims are running. If they are lean (which I already know they are) wiggle the 4 wire connector @ the O2 sensor plug . If the #s change Its in the connector, usually corroded contacts in the plug. If not try to richen the mixture by adding a fuel source to the intake . Carb cleaner works fine for this test. Spray into a vacuum line and look at the 02 readings....while spraying the #s should increase..If they stay low...Change the sensor
