I have a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 when you gas it sometimes it wont go? Please Help!?

I just bought this truck it has 145000 miles on it. It sat with the old owner for about eight months. He drove it 2 hours to get here and then we have had no problem till today got on the freeway and shifted into the gears and it kept bogging down and slowing odwn. It just happens when you push the gas pedal.
 
sounds like the carberator is letting too much gas in.

try tightening your carb, it sounds like it is too open
