I have a 1994 Chevy suburban using more gas than normal?

I have a 94 chevy suburban i just had a different engine put in it that has 86k miles on it i got a tune up and oil change but like when i pull off it acts like it doesnt want to pull off then i hit the gas a little more and it drives normal but it's using a lot of gas and i no the tank does not leak what could it be
 
im not an expert but i drive a 97 yukon, same as your suburban and i have been thru that engine a million times. I think your problem might be your fuel plenum. this would also cause misfires. Do you have a check engine light on? is it a 5.7 or a 5.3?
