...battery. Where does it reconnect? The wire leads into the cluster of wires that loops around the back of the engine and I can't see where it comes out on the other side.
It doesn't connect to the fuse box that wire is still in place.
There aren't any obvious places where it was once connected.
It wasn't ever wrapped around anything, its a straight stripped tip.
A friend lifted the battery up without disconnecting it first.
I've looked everywhere and can't find where it goes.
The battery isn't charging, so it probably leads the alternator(?) but I don't want to accidentally short any connections by attaching it to the positive terminal.
Yes it does go into a harness,with several other wires including the ones to the alternator. They are all zip-tied together under a plastic sleeve thing and connect to various parts under the hood. The alternator is brand new and is working fine, the battery just stopped charging immediately after this wire was disconnected. The car starts fine when charged and it will idle all day until the gas burns off, the battery has 12 volts and is also brand new.
