i have a 1989 isuzu pickup with a 2.3 liter motor 5 speed whines in1 2 3 5 but not 4th

does any body know w? it started whining today in 1 2 3 5 but not 4th what is the problem
 
It probably has a lot of miles , Normally that is a sign of bearings are going bad . Have you checked the fluid or changed it ? you could try some good fluid and an additive to help get more life out of the tranny a major repair on the tranny is expensive .
