i have an 1989 ford f350 and its backfiring through the carburetor and the exhaust louder then gun shots and flames like a dragon it starts happening if im low on gas or after driving more then 30 mins some times even if i have a full tank and just started it please help!!!
Backfiring could mean the fuel mixture is too lean, the timing is wrong, or the valves are burned. Does a 1989 engine have a carburetor? If so, find an old mechanic who still knows how to work on carbs.
