...years? what should I do to be able to use the 4 wheel drive without messing up my transmission or transfer case? the 4 wheel drive hasn't been used since about 1993 when it was parked
 
id change all the fluids in it and make sure all th linkage was free of rust before i tried to use,chances are its probably good but you can expect the linkage to be a little tight on it at first,then it wil loosen up a lot after you use it a few times,use some wd-40 on it to help loosen the linkage up,and then try it,good luck.
