i have a 1987 camaro with a TPI 350. car had no alternator . car has mounts on bolth

sides. wich do i use? car has a 5.7 tpi 350. the ac unit has been removed and there are mounting brakets on bolth sides. i do not know wich one is for the alternator. i do not want to harm the car any help would be great.
