I have a 1985 Ford E350 I cant get it to start. all i did was run it out of gas....

...how can i check whats wrong I ran this Van out of gas and now I cant get it to start, turn over, or get power to the cab. i replaced the start relay on the fender well but no go. what else do i check? it has to be simple right? I hate to take it to the shop if all i did was run it out of gas.
it's a 1985 Econoline 350 van with duel tanks. unleaded gas.
the only way it turns over right now is if i jump it off the starter relay on the fender well.
