headgasket, I have all the bugs worked? out except one small problem. The crankshaft pulley won't stay on causing all the other belts to stop working. I purchased a new bolt from toyota to hold it on and I use the proper torque but to no avail it still works its way free and slips off causing what I mentioned above. Can anyone offer a solution?
I put the key back into place and mounted the pulley. It took a while but I managed it ok.

is the woodruff key way damaged?? cas that is a common problem on this engine.....it allows the pulley to move and this lets it vibrate off the shaft....the only good way to fix it is engine rebuild since u cant get crankshaft machined wile in ur car........

u can also try and cut a longer key way with a dremel tool ...i have done this and car lasted another year form doing this.....longer key way allowed me to put longer square key into slot.....

only other thing i can suggest is putting loctite on the bolt and using the stud formula not bolt formula....good luck
