the solenoid wires go.? I have found wiring diagrams but they do not have the HEI distributor, so where do i run the wire to?

Well if the wires are taken loose at the starter you should just have a big positive wire that comes from the battery to the big post on the solenoid then you will have a couple wires that come from the distributor and ignition that go on the little post, some of the starters have little letters on there like "ing" or "coil".

That totally sucks that someone took your starter But at least they didn't take the whole trunk ! Maybe Karma will fix them and the starter will go bad so make sure you keep an eye on your trunk so they can't come back for seconds!!

The red wire goes to IGN and the black to coil, the big cable goes to the big stud, unhook the battery first.
