...pressed and not pressed.? Pressing in the pedel has been squeeking for a few days and now it is a grinding noise. The transmission goes into gear fine. When the pedel is pressed it makes a horrible noise when it is resting it still makes noise but not as bad. Should I have it towed or should I drive it to the shop? It sounds like something is grinding on something spinning.
 
like the above answer said that does sound like a bad throw out bearing but it can also be caused by a bad input shaft bearing in the transmission,why don't you take it by any transmission shop and let them listen to it and give you a good hands on opinion on it,this way you,ll know for sure,you can drive it like this just be careful that it doesn't get any worse,good luck.
