maintenance issues and am wondering if it's I have a 2002 Mazda Protege 5 with 115,000 miles on it. I just brought it to the mechanic to get the timing belt fixed ($500)...He just told me that my passenger side axle boot is ripped and is leaking oil into my car (joints and the new alternator I just bought a month ago...$600)...aside from this, I have a laundry list of other things that need to be fixed along with the maintenance schedule....my front brakes ($250), tune up ($400) and now the axle boot ($330).
My question is this....is it even worth getting this car fixed at this point, or should I be in the market for a new car??
