I have "99" pontiac gran am, v6. does anyone know the quik way to reset the key to anti-thief lock system? ?

Had new ign switch put in 6 mon ago and my org keys have chip ( new key does not ) it was working fine until a couple wks ago. Now security system locked up and won't start, HELP!
