7 days ago I bought a W580i. I now hate the phone. Here's my list of complaints, maybe you guys can help me out:
It does not lock the keys. The only way it locks the keys is if I'm at the idle screen and slide the phone closed. When I am done with a call, I always slide the phone closed and put it in my pocket. I end up calling people accidentally when I do this. I turned on the feature called, "close to end call" but it still doesn't lock the keys unless I press the end call button, wait a second for it to return to the idle screen, then slide the phone closed.
When I'm doing something on the phone when I slide the phone closed I am done with what I was doing, and I would like the phone to lock the keys. Again, I end up calling people because the phone wasn't at the idle screen when I closed it. I upgraded from a flip phone, and I really got used to just flipping it closed and putting it in my pocket.
Speed dial. I have to press the number, then hit the call button. Why the extra key stroke? Is there a way to make it dial the speed dial number just by holding down the associated number key?
The only reason I bought this phone is because it allows me to take text notes. I don't listen to music, take pictures, or anything else. All I am looking for is a phone that works as a phone and allows me to take text notes.
Any tips on how to deal with the things I don't like, or does anyone know of another non-PDA phone that will take text notes. I like to comfortably fit the phone in my pocket, and anything with a QWERTY key board is too big for that.
Thanks.
