I always felt sorry for those people with the androgenous names. Like Ashley, or Morgan, or Adrian, or Dana even.
Only problem with my name is that Tim sometimes sounds like Jim to people on the phone...
Guy on phone: "This is Alan in customer relations, Can I have your name?"
Me: "It's Tim"
Guy: "Sure Jim, I think we can help you"
Me: "No, TIM"
Guy: " OK, Jim, now let's talk about what's happening to your car."
Me: "Sure, Alfredo, whatever"
This happens more often than I'd like to think possible.
I knew a guy in high school who had 6 names! His name was Stephen Robert Charles Patrick Clifford Smith. Christ what a name!
Then there's my Uncle, known as Uncle Wolfie or Uncle Wolf to most of us. But full name... get this.. Wolfred Herbert Hilson Gustav Joseph Nelson IV. He was born in Newfoundland. Names like Hilson and Wolfred are common there.
Just glad mine's easy to spell. T-I-M.
