My car has not been working for over three weeks now. I have went to two Chevy specialist to find out what is wrong with my 2000 chevy impala. I was told that a code came up that i needed a body control module that was 400.00 and then I was told that I needed spark plugs and plug wires which was 210.00 and then I was told that i needed a fuel filter which was 40.00, all of which came to a total of 650.00...My car is still not working, I was driving the car to another mechanic to have it looked at when all of a sudden the car cuts off on me in the middle of the highway and i was almost struck by a truck. I called the main GM headquarters and let them know how much money I have put out for parts that I didn't need and how my car is a "death trap" I asked them is there anyway i can have my car looked at again without paying a diagnostic fee and labor fees since they screwed me out of so much money and they act like they can't help me...WHICH AMAZES ME THEY ARE THE HEAD OF GM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My question is what should I do, I kept up on my cars but if you have crappy mechanics then what can you do...i took my car to chevy because the"regular" mechanics...seems to me chevrolet mechanics are not any special than "backyard" mechanics. no ignorant comments because it is not necessary!
