these the lyrics to the song "reclusion" by anberlin ::
There's someone inside me that softly kills everyone around
They don't know they're dead to me cause intent never makes a sound
All along they found us strangled, lovers have learned from slower hands
With these eleven minutes I could teach you what I am
You're sick, sick as all the
Secrets that you deny
Sins like skeletons are so very hard to hide
You're sick, sick as all the
Secrets that you deny
Sins like skeletons are so very hard to hide
There's a knot of seclusion, production, and depression
If a stranger turns up missing, this song is my confession
Tell the tales of the trail of dead, lovers learn from slower hands
Losing self in myself, inner demons make demands
You're sick, sick as all the
Secrets that you deny
Sins like skeletons are so very hard to hide
You're sick, sick as all the
Secrets that you deny
Sins like skeletons are so very hard to hide
You're suffocating me, so very hard to breathe
My mask is growing heavy but I've forgotten who's beneath
You're sick, sick as all the
Secrets that you deny
Sins like skeletons are so very hard to hide
You're sick, sick as all the
Secrets that you deny
Sins like skeletons are so very hard to hide
well.....please somebody mark me if im wrong, but when i heard this song (which is very dark and awesome by the way) it reminded me of Macbeth. maybe it's because I am reading it in english now, but it seriously reminds me of Macbeth, and I can prove it. "There's someone inside me that softly kills everyone around
They don't know they're dead to me cause intent never makes a sound" -- This part reminds me of act one, forget what scene, where Mabeth is in his head planning trhe demise of King Duncan. King Duncan was oblivious to the fact that Macbeth wanted him dead, and if we use this song as example, Macbeth hid malicious intent from the King. The next part that draws me to Macbeth is the chorus. The part "You're sick, sick as all the secrets that you deny" -- Macbeth kills Duncan and Banquo and denies to everyone that he has done this deed. Slowly, Macbeth becomes consumed by his own secrets. And the deeds he committed were also pretty gruesome. Also "Losing self in myself, inner demons make demands" -- This could refer to his vaulting ambition that caused him to kill King Duncan in the first place. After all, during that one scene where he was debating within his soliliqy to kill or not to kill, it could have gone both ways. But the 'inner demons' that we can refer to as 'ambition' pushed him over the edge, demanding he kill Duncan. I'm sorry I think I got waaaaaay too into that XD. But great song, it is so much different from their other pieces in a good way. I absolutely adore in the chorus when he raises the octive slightly with the word "deny". It adds a certain "je ne sais quos" to it
