I had it scanned at autozone.
The guy told me i needed to run fuel injector cleaner through it.
I ran STP fuel injector cleaner 2 bottles. Still on
I ran Chevron fuel system cleaner until i had a third of a tank left and the light went off.
I filled up my car with gas. A day later the light came on again.

Any suggestions? Should i run more cleaner? Maybe a sensor is bad?
Should i ignore it.

The car runs fine.

Go to autozone or another place and have it read again (and cleared if they are willing). You need to know the code, and what part is recommended to replace.

I wouldn't just ignore it as it will mask out any other future problems.

This could be any number of things. The check engine light usually means that a sensor is reading out of range or has detected a fault with a system.

If this is an older car and it seems to be running OK, you can usually ignore the light. The engine may not be running as efficiently as it could, may net be getting the fuel economy that it could, and may be passing more emissions than it should.

I would have the vehicle scanned again. When the check engine light comes on it usually stores an error code. Sometimes the problem may be minor and the fix is simple. Decide if you want to bother fixing it after you have a good idea what is actually wrong.

The STP Fuel Injector cleaner is useless. It doesn't do very much and is a waste of money. Try a product called Sea Foam instead. This stuff actually works. You can find this at most major automotive parts stores. Just follow the instructions on the container. See the link below for more information on Sea Foam.
