I had stiches done on the palm of my hand. is it infected? PLEASE HELP!?

i had stiches done yesterday on the palm of my hand. what do I do to take care of it? i just took of the bandage.it looks bruised blue redish color and swollen.can it be infected? there is pain, doc said it looked deep but no damage to tendons. can i put ozonol and bandage it up again? ozonol is all i have right now, and i got a first aid kit. please help.
