I had planned to camping this weekend until I had this dream. I had a dream where...

...we were camping and i had? brought my little Chihuahua dog, she is 9 years old. We were at clear lake in oregon, which has freezing temperatures, and we decided to go on a boat. when we were in the middle of the lake my dog decides to jump out of the boat into the middle of the river and i couldnt save her. I woke up feeling very frightened but i went back to sleep and in the same night i kept having the same dream just different. We were still camping but my dog would somehow get into the water and drowned. The next day I woke up and my dog was a lot more clingy to me then usual, It was like she had felt my stress of the dreams or maybe she was trying to tell me something.Now ordinarily I wouldnt take my dog camping with me because she is old and wouldnt enjoy herself. I got her because she was abandonned and I took her in. I had decided not to go camping because I thought the dream and my dog were trying to tell me something. Can someone please interpret this dream/dreams for me.
