i wanted to know how much radiation is out there in a single x-ray test. i went for the sinus x-rays. or more clearly facial x-ray yesterday. i never had any x-rays before and i am 21 healthy guy. i lied on my front so he took the test from the back of my head? i've heard that the bones absorb the x-rays so that's why they appear white and as air dont absorb so the rays pass through the air and it appears black? so my concern is as bones absorb the x-rays so they didnt penetrate into my brain? RIGHT? is there any danger involved for the bones in absorbing x-rays? thanks. that was my first ever x-ray as long as i can remember. people have them all the time. whats the risk?
