I had a fight with a swarthy friend because i called him black?

he is one of my friends and he has swarthy skin ,
so , while we standing with other guys ,so he was about to go and i told him, "hey black where you will go?"
and all the sudden he spit on me and called me You racist and we end up fighting and the other guys stop the fight,,,,,,

so i didn't mean to be racist ,,was he had insecurities and issues about his look??? i just was kidding !!!!!!!
and he is not very black !!!!!!!!!
 
You didn't need to bring attention to his skin colour.
His first name would have been good enough.

Just apologize. It sounds like it was a silly mistake. :-)
