Congratulations on a job well done. I don't think it is appropriate to ask your guests to donate to a local religious school. It may offend some of the invitees. The guests will come to celebrate your achievement. Just let it go at that.
 
...party for about 150 people? I am looking for the proper wording on the invitation. I am asking for no gifts, but would like to give my invites the opportunity to donate to an adult education fund in honor of my deceased parents at a local religious school. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
 
Congratulations! Say something along the lines of like "No gifts!!-- but please consider making a donation to ((name of education fund)) to help adult students like me!"
