I got the dreaded JVM Error 102 on my BB Storm...now what?

I got the dreaded JVM error 102 on my Blackberry storm. I did a little research and discussed that it is as a result of a corrupt file. I was able to remove the corrupt file using the JL_Cmder program. Turns out the corrupt file was from my yahoo messenger application, cos when i was able to get back in my phone, the yahoo messenger was gone. Now i am confused as to whether to uninstall the whole OS and reinstall again. I dont really see why i have to do it..cos my phone is able to be used and i dont really need the yahoo messenger on my phone (i dont intend to reinstall it).
Do i need to wipe out my whole phone again?
