I got question about state health insurance plans. How expensive are they

for employees? Are they quality? I got a job, I think, which has state a health ins. plan. I'm wondering what people think about these plans. Also dental.
Are they expensive? Deductibles? Co-pays? Do they really save decent money. Are they essential to have if you don't have other coverage?
I'm in Texas, if that helps
