I got motor oil from my dirt bike on my pants, whats the best way to get it off?

It was only on the bottom of the right leg so if I get most of it off it shouldn't be so noticeable. Plus I really like those jeans.

Get some Simple Green. Simple Green is a concentrated liquid cleaner that you can buy in discount, hardware, automotive and a lot of grocery stores. It's non-toxic and biodegradable also. It will not bleach the color out of your jeans either.

Take the jeans and spray the Simple Green on them, cover the entire area well. Let the cleaner work for a good hour, go back and rinse the area with hot water. It it appears that most of the stain is gone, spray it again, leave it lay for awhile and then launder as usual. If the stain has lessened but is still pretty visible, give it another good spraying of the cleaner and let it soak awhile more. Keep treating the spot until you can hardly see it and then into the washer.

I've used Simple Green to take axle grease out of jeans and with a little patience you should be able to get the motor oil out.

I have always had good luck using Dawn dish soap. It contains a strong degreaser. Apply a generous amount to the entire oily area and use a small brush (an old tooth brush will do) and brush the spot in circles to rub the Dawn into the fabric. Let it set for a couple of hours then wash your jeans in warm water, but don't dry them in the dryer until you check and see if the stain is out while they are still wet from the washer. (If you dry them first, it sets the stain and makes it harder to get out.) So, if the stain is gone, then you can dry them in the dryer. This process should take the oil stain out, but if only some of the stain comes out repeat the process and wash again. Good Luck!

Just take them to be dry cleaned. For 5 bucks (quid) you can get the oil out without damage. Be careful about brushing or rubbing jeans, the color can come out from the abrasion.
