I got caught stealing. Would this affect my college admission?

SO, I didn't take anything but I attempted to steal this girl's money from her wallet.
I go to a boarding school, but they couldn't find anything because I didn't take anything.
I'm suspended because of this but would this affect my future?? I'm head of three committees, got 36 on my ACT, and got above 780 on all my SAT subjects. I'm currently a junior in Canada and I wanna know what's going to happen!!!!!!

When you apply to a college or university, they will look at your school disciplinary actions taken against you. If this is the only time that you have gotten into trouble, it should be ok. But if you are a student that has attendance issue, is in trouble often- this could very well affect whether or not you are accepted as a student.

The same exact thing happened to my older brother. Once you have a criminal record, no institute of higher learning is going to accept you.

But there is always community college...they take everyone. Too bad you can only go there for two years.

But in all seriousness, your pretty screwed. Enjoy your associates degree.
