...a while? My car had a loud squeal every time I turned right for about a week until I got it fixed yesterday. My mechanic said that it needed a new rack and pinion. I replaced the part, but tonight I heard a small noise, a small squeal, when I turned right on one turn. I checked the power steering fluid and it was completely full.. I drove around all day today and didn't notice anything when turning right. I am the owner of the vehicle but my sister drives the car full time. I drove the car and made really hard left and right turns with absolutely no sounds. It was when I was leaving the parking lot that I noticed a small squeal while turning right. Will this continue or should I have it checked again? My first thoughts before the car was repaired that it was a power steering pump that needed replaced not the rack and pinion. Could my initial thought be correct and that it didn't really need a rack and pinion? Thanks.
