i got a ford econoline 2007 cargo van when i drive 20 or 10mile the rpm run up to

1500 to 2000 is that normal? when i drive or press on gas it go up 1500 to 2000 when i go up hill it go up to 3000 when im at 40mile
i just want to know if this is normal with your van if you got one. thank
 
Either the transmission is not shifting to the right gear or the modulator valve is messing up. Listen to the motor when you start off, it should sound or feel like it is working less hard each time it shifts gears. If the motor is acting like it is still in first gear even at 40 or 45 then you need to have it checked. The transmission could be slipping or be out of fluid.
