i got 3 inche Perl arowana the shop keeper said that dont feed on market

prawns when it grows just stick to? feeder gold fish dont give any other food other than that is that correct or else is there any other food that i could give my perl arowana ? for the time being he just asked me to feed blood worms and feeder and how many times should i feed my arowana its 3 inches currently .
