tired of spam

I have a forwarding address at the alumni association of my alma mater. I have started getting spam sent to this forwarding address from the forwarding address. The subject lines are varied, and sometimes suggest that it is porn, but the body of the message is a drug company, and it says that I have received the message because I subscribed to MSN...help?

Sounds like a spammer trick to me.

But, contact your alumni association and ask them to tighten up their spam filters as well as their general security. Unlike a service provider, they have the right to say what gets on their computers and not only reject the junk but also respond to spammers with an error code indicating that the junk will not be delivered now or in the future.

Spammers have all types of tricks they use to do things like that to get around the spam filters. They can 'pluck' your TO address and plug it into the FROM address to make it seem like it is coming from you. Just ignore it and delete it.
