i cant find the artical now... but, ive been telling people for years tmobile is the nuts.

but apparently att/cingular (if theyll quit changing thier name) dropped the whole "fewest dropped calls," because JD Power actually ranked them last in that department and tmobile in #1.

apparently their is some BBB claim filed against them too for false advertisement..

i wish i could find the GD article..

anyways, ive seriously never dropped a call w/ tmo EXCEPT going down this elevator shaft at work into the parking garage.

thats a wierd thing to think is normal in my opinion...

i just get this weird feeling in my gut when i hear people b***ch about Tmo....

i mean, if youre looking for newest technology, tmo and att are your pals.

why would you go with verizon? what do they have to offer? over sized LG phones. and Justin Timberlake TV.

And dont get me started on sprint and thier walkie talkie ****, i hate people who walk around using that more then i can deal with a group of loud, hyper *** children at an ihop when im trying to recover from a hangover from an all weekend booze binge.

so that brings me to ATT.... for starters.. why do they change thier name every 4 years? legal issues? lawsuits? its something fishy i know it is. it has to be, why would anyone want to spend millions every couple of years campainging thier name flop, not to mention all the stores need to be changed back over. etc etc.

att CS is a froggin nightmare... seriously.. i had them about a year before they were cingular and then again right after... my bill was ALWAYS wrong i dont recall a 1 time, that my bill wasnt over atleast 25. Among larger issues like CS taking certian plans of my account, that i was grandfathered in, which i inturn ended up oweing them ~$2000 due to text msg overages. thanks guys...

so whats wrong with tmo? it would sound ridiculous to say nothing. so, im going to go with thier fetish with magenta. Oh, and why did they get rid of Catherine Zera Jones? jacka**es.

everyone has a story about "this service provider did this or they did that", but when you walk into Tmo HQ here in Bellevue the first thing you see (besides that damn magenta) is ALL of thier JD Power and Assc. awards..... i think they have 5 now. in a row.

well I never considered t-mobile until I started to work for them back in december of 05, since then I said t-mobile is the best, go with them, they rock. well I Moved to baltimore just about a few months ago and found that the service is not the best

Every now and then I will have a day were TMO will drop 3 or 4 calls... but for the most part it is flawless.

When I was with with Cingular, it was rare for me to have a connection last longer than 20 minutes. Most conversations would have the call dropped every 15 minutes - I would call back, and it would drop in another 15 minutes... My dad and I called it "network management" - joking that I would get disconnected when Cingular decided it was someone elses turn to use the cell tower...

However, like any provider, TMO can be weak in some areas - my parents have Verizon, and have better coverage than I do when we visit West Texas and New Mexico.

Well... AT&T wireless was essentially a rented name - they weren't associated with AT&T, they just paid for name rights. Cingular acquired/merged with AT&T wireless and went with Cingular... A logical choice, since the Cingular name did not require continuing payments to AT&T. Recently AT&T acquired controlling share of the Cingular corporation, and the name has been changed to AT&T (not "AT&T Wireless").

I can't help but laugh that some of the AT&T cell phone pages say "Wireless from AT&T, formerly Cingular Wireless" at the top...
I guess it might be worse if it read: Wireless from AT&T, formerly Cingular Wireless, formerly AT&T Wireless, formerly - oh heck, you get the idea...

i've NEVER had a dropped call on my AT&T service. But at least AT&T doesnt have the problem that tmo has, where calls fail when trying to dial someone. lol

Never had a cingy issue--- tmo on the other could never get my billing straight. Cingy gave up on trying to find my military discount and gave me the 25% postal discount, the highest they could give without me working for them

actually ther were a few articles that showed that in most regions overall t-mobile or verizon were one and two on the list. at&t and cingular what they did, i'm not sure if they still do this, but they counted themselves as two seperate companies, so tey had a better shot of getting the title of fewest dropped calls. Juust stating some facts. I think that t-mobile and verizon are the two better companies.

now come on...all i see in the 8100 threads are tmo dropped call issues

just messin around...but seriously...i went from ATT to Cellular One to Sprint to ATT to Nextel to ATT to Cingy to ATT (respectively -- mostly bc of job changes) they all worked

im sure that ATT isn't holding anyone hostage

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- I've been with AT&T for years and have had no problems. I had Verizon before then and I did have a problem with dropped calls, I'd have to hover in the corner of my bedroom in a crouching position to get reception. My home was apparently some type of Verizon dead spot. Don't have that problem with AT&T.
