I found my missing cat after 3 weeks. How do i readjust my cat to its outdoor lifestyle?

Our cat was missing for 3 weeks and is finally home! We were advised to keep her inside by the vet for a few days in order to help her readjust to her environment, but now we need to re-introduce her to the outdoors as well as she loves being outside. Does anyone have any advice for how we could do this without her running off again the first day she is let out? (She obviously lives indoors and has full access to the outdoors as well normally...).
 
Wow, I don't know. But if my cat disappeared for 3 weeks, its roaming days would be over. I know people who have lost outdoor cats and never found out what happened. That would put me over the edge.
