I found a 8gb iphone 3g with a cracked LCD screen today on the street. It was definitely abandoned because the screen looked like as if it was run over by a car and the owner didn't care for it. Any who I did some research and it said if you take your iphone to the mac store they replace for you. It's free if its under warranty and they charge if its not. I looked up the serial number on the apple website to see if its under warrant, and it is! If I take this phone in to the mac store do you think they'll say anything? Will they ask me for personal information to confirm it's mine? Should I tell them I found it outside all mashed up, or will they not fix it for me then? Should I call them and ask but I don't want to be awkward.I don't know what to do with it. It really is a waste to throw it away, just the covers nasty and the inside is intact. Hmm, any thoughts please?
