I found what is I think a almost full grown wild rabbit. My dog did, actually. I was sitting on the back porch, enjoying the night air, and my dog runs off and comes back a few minutes later with this rabbit. He sat it in front of me and then went to lay down where he usually does. I looked at it and it has two large open wounds on it's hind legs. I wrapped it in a towel and put it in a large rubbermaid tub with pine bedding, a dish of water, a dish of rabbit pellets (I own a tame rabbit) and some carrots. There is this large window screen that I duct taped all the tears in it and put it on top, weighing it down with some books. I put triple antibiotic ointment on it's wounds and turned off the lights. Is there anything else I should do for it other than leave it alone? And please, none of that crap about letting it go and if it lives it lives and if it dies it dies, I don't like it when things die and I could have prevented it. I also washed my hands after holding it and put it in a quiet room for the night, in the morning I'm going to set it outside in the shed with my other rabbit, but I'm probably going to transfer it to the pet carrier so there is a less likely chance of something getting to it.
It is able to move around and has use of it's hind legs, though I haven't seen it move much.
It didn't really let me, it was terrified and what seemed like frozen, my dog did just drag it out of somewhere and then plop it right in front of me, so it was too scared to fight back or try to get away.
