A short introduction in the matter:
The girl in question is my ex girlfriend. We've been on and off in the past year or so. The 'off' part was because she was dumping me, the last time being because she wanted revenge for me liking one of my female friends before we started going out again (while she was with her ex). The revenge was consisted of her getting back with her ex for some time. We didn't get back together after that because I was fed up of my heart getting beaten on with a sledgehammer. We hooked up for new years eve, but just for the night as it turned out and I told her just a few days ago that I'd like to be with her again, but she wasn't sure at the moment and so we left it at that.
The night in question was this Saturday. I had the time of my life, partying like I rarely have done before. The both girls I mentioned previously were present. And as I had suspected, even before going to the party, by the end of the night my ex hooked up with one of the other guys that were present on new years eve, but only for the night because he's currently living/studying in another country.
The issue:
As I mentioned I was a bit drunk and when a part of us were leaving we said goodbye to the people standing where we got our cab, but I forgot to say bye to my ex and one of her friends who were standing a bit further away.
I didn't think about this until I got the following text message a day after the party: "When people go home the least they can do is say bye
". I read this message this morning (Monday) when I got up.
The question:
What are your thoughts on the matter and what do you think I should do and say when I call her later this afternoon? (she usually sleeps in the morning and early afternoon)
