I fell

i have had a fusion done in the 4-5 AND S-1 and there is NO pain pill that helps me:( but recently fell out of the shower due to soap being under my feet and dident know how bruised i was until i went to get into the shower and my ribs is very bruised so dont know what do and dont know if i have messed up my fusion or not someone let me know or advise. i am in serve pain? HELP!!!!!!

Emerald you really need to call your doctor and tell him what has happened but if you are in terrible pain now then you should go to the ER and be checked. You are the only one that knows how bad you feel but if you are bruised that bad I would definitely have my doctor check me out.

How long ago was your fusion? If it was recent I would get to the ER and call your doc and let them know!

thanks for you all concern but i went to the ER today and got x-rayed from head to toe and they still cant tell me if i have messed up my fusion. my i had screws put in back in may of 07 and then 8 months later in jan of 08 my ortho went back in and took the screws out becouse he said the one on the left side was touching a nerve. although i fell a little better to get those things out but still have alots of right and left leg pain so who knows what i have done to my back and the ER doc seen all the bruises on my back and on my leg and my knee. i am going to call the hospital tommorrow and ask for a report on what was seen on the x-rays ...oh i forgot i got wrote 7 LORTAB 5/500 and it says take one every 6 hours after i told the stupied doc that i have a high tolerance to any pain meRAB and then got handed that crap....but i will keep you guys updated about what i find out...and thanks again for your concern...:) em
 
my fusion was done with tititiam screws back in may of 07 then in jan of 08 they was taken out and nothing seem, to help with the pain... i have been released from my ortho doc and my regular doc says OMG i cant write you anything like lortab like it some kinda major drug....lortab is like asprin to me... i have a very very high tolarace to pain meRAB and i cant make them understand that.i have been through 4 back surgerys and 2 shoulder reconstructions so you can image...what some people might take that would knock them for a loop wouldent fase me...i will keep you updated...thanks for being so concerned....em

Any news? I have been praying for you and wonder if you have heard anything back about your fusion or any damage from your fall. I hope you have been able to get the pain under control!

hi michelle: thanks again for your prayers i am in dyer need of them. no i havent heard anything i am going in the morning to pick the reports up about my back. i am taking nothing for pain but gabatian 600 milligrams 3 times a day and its about worthless...i will let you know more and thanks again for your prayers...:)
