For over three years I have dealt with anxiety and pain issues. It staretd with chest discomfort, which I went to the Dr. to have checked out. Blood work, 3 EKG's a 24 hour holter and a CT Angiogram later I am told all is fine. My heart is normal size, and my calcium score is only 11. My doctor told me with a clacium score of 11, I have a low chance of heart disease. Yet I still worry.

But I still get these crazy chest twinges and they throw me into a panic attack, or my constatnt state of generalized anxiety. As a 30 year old man, I feel like my quality of life is very low and I know this has an impact on my wife. Sometimes I feel so alone, because she does not have panic attacks, so she is unable to understand. I am on Zoloft and Metorpolol (Blood pressure) but my anxiety and panic always seem around the corner. I feel out of my mind. I do not know what to do.

I am so sorry. Exercise is what has helped me. Even if its just walking for 40 minutes. I also like to do puzzles, crossworRAB, or some soduko when I start feeling it build. It helps get my mind off the anxiety and stop it before its out of control. Good luck!

I had, years ago, periodic chest pains that I swore were coming from a heart attack. The doc found out that I had what many people have, and that is a hernia in the "food pipe"area. It seems when I ate tuna fish(without mayo),and tomato sauces, this would bring on chest discomfort.I saved many trips to the E/R,and did not know when I would get a real heart attack.I have never had a known heart attack.Sorry I can't remeraber the name of that hernia, but it seldom requires any surgery,I understand. Good luch Bill
