I feel like nothing TRULY replaces my 903SH... HELP!

I'll keep this short and simple... I broke my Sharp 903SH screen and I've been longing to get a new phone.

Samsung D900, LG KG800 caught my eye, but in terms of camera and functions, I feel like I'm going a step or a few steps down.

Nokia's gave me good competition for functions but camera was still not up to par (I don't like the N90). Also they just didn't look as sleek.

K800i had a nice camera, but SE seems to come out with the same phones over and over again. It doesn't matter if you got your phone last week or last year, they're all over the street and look the same.

The only replacement I could think of is the Sharp 904SH but it can't be unlocked yet which defies the purpose of a PHONE.

HELP ME!

Doesn't the N73 have a better camera?? And you seem to defy reason when you ignore the K800i, which is the BEST all round picture taker , simply because of its Xenon flash. And looks like you live in Canada, and I don't know personally about Canada but in NA you'll be hard pressed to find anyone with a SE K or W series that isn't over 3 years old, nevermind that 95% use Razrs, free flip phones, and last decade nokia bar phones.

Forget the Chocolate (the LG), it's functions are poor, and its pretty much the new IT fashion phone. The D900 is ideal for most people, but it is a small step back in terms of camera function.

no Nokia can ever replace a 903...

and the k800 does have a better camera, but its very very close. if you are looking for a better camera on a phone and you dont like the k800 then your wasting your time even looking around.

The debate on which is better, K800 or Sharp 903/904 will always have the sharp folks saying the 903 is better and the SE folks saying the K800 is better.

Personally, I still think the 903 comes out ahead for daytime pics

SE phones are everywhere, and most are within the last couple of years. For that reason I have a hard time getting a phone that isn't radically changed, and the K800i simply doesn't cut it.

And I'm not looking for a better camera... I'm looking for a better phone which won't make me miss my Sharp 903SH's camera.

Get the new Samsung ultra thin 3.2mp camera phone when it comes out. I forget the model number -- In pictures it looks like the T809, but a hair thicker and with better features. I know someone with the T809 and it turns heads everywhere - super thin, big, beautiful screen. The D600/900 are nice too, but kind of small for my tastes.

how about the nokia n93 or the nokie n73?
n93 has 3x optical zoom although it is only good in videos, but not that good in photos(it lacks some features that the n73 has for photography since nokia branded the n93 as "the next story in video" mobile computer.)
n73 in the other hand is a photographers all aorund buddy with more photography features thn the n93. it is also equipped with a 3.2 Carl Zeiss cam with 20x digital zoom (no optical)

i also ahve had the sharp 903 and the only good replacement i got was the n73. im waiting ofr my 904 now (hopefully by september ) my auntie promised me one when she goes here from japan

I'm thinking about D900 mainly because I like it's looks, and from what others say it's a pretty decent phone to substitute for my my 903SH.

I'd wait for 904 but I really want a phone NOW, and I don't like the looks. It's just doesn't have the sophisticated styling quality the 903 has.

It really does get to me though... the 903SH has been out for a year almost, and still other companies are just starting to have things that can beat a quality or two of it.

There are many phones in japan that have way better features than most of the phones we can get. You're comparing a pure japanese phone to many phones made for other parts of the world, of course the technology will be different. Japan is the leader in electronics after all..

samsung is the leading the game in high mpx cam phones...
5 MP....... 7 MP.......... 8 MP.....
too bad none are GSM...

there is a thread around with n73 vs. 903...
...n73 was darker and colors were not as warm as 903.

as for K800...
there are some threads with horrible pictures and some that are close to 903...
so i'm thinking that k800 is not as good in light...
in dark.. k800 is better with xenon than 903...
but pictures are still MAD-grainy so pics will still come out bad if you develop them...
k800 is a better multi-tasker phone w/ most things user friendly and customizable... same goes with n73

my feelings on 903...
if you can tolerate the non-customizable UI....
and need to shoot nice pics....

why not just buy another 903...
sure it's last year's tech... but it's still fending off other phones today... besides.... now 903 are cheap anyways...
when 904 gets unlocked you won't have such a hard time putting down money to buy that one as well...
