I feel like I'm falling apart.

First, about a week into October, I left work from one of my midnight shifts in the rain. The gutters at home were overflowing and I decided that there's no time like the present to clean them out.

So, I get out my massive 4' step ladder and go to work. Then, I step off and wrench my knee; something I've never done before, EVER.

Now, two weeks later, I was working on dad's truck replacing a starter, and having been under the damn thing for countless hours because 2 of the 3 bolts decided to break off, my fucking neck feels like poison J-ello. Lame.:thumbsdn:

Ugh, I know how that can be.

I was limping around all day yesterday because of my muscles - I was thinking the whole entire time "I'm not even 23 yet and I'm walking like I'm sixty..."

Yup, it's happened. You've reached the age you realize getting down just ain't as easy as it used to be. In fact you'll find that you will choose more carefully what you get down on the ground to do and whether or not it's really worth it. ;)

I can feel shit squishing around in my knee that doesn't move in the other one...

Oh yeah, a week before my knee accident I called in sick for only the third time in 6 years. I'm over the head cold thing, but I keep hacking up chunky stuff.

^This. I'm only 23 and my knees hurt all the time; when it's raining it's hard to sit and even harder to stand. That, and now I have plates in my body that thump when it's below 60 degrees. I feel ya, man. Bodies seem to break down so fast after like 20.

He's too old to work! send em to the glue factory!!!!!

perhaps you can get some cybernetic parts... I'll be happy to work on ya in my garage :D

Cybernetic parts would be cool... reminds me of a song... but I feel ya. Sometimes I think my body was not designed for physical labor of any kind - I was bred to live a comfortable life in a chair. I'm 20 and I have joint and back issues, if I kneel I limp for a minute afterwards, blah blah blah... Here's to booze, which will always be good

Poor wittle fella!

About a week ago I was doing my usual 3 mile run. About the last leg of it I decided to hit it harder. I usually do this because, well, it's the hard part. Push it to the limit. I went beyond that limit actually. I ended up tearing some muscle in my left shin. Hurt like a bitch!! FUCK!!

What did I do? I wrapped it up and ran it again two days later. It still hurt like hell. But, you can do two things here:

SUCK IT UP!!!

Or

Cry...

DAILY STRETCHES! Stretch out everything on a regular basis, keep 'em limber and loose. Not only will it help with sprains and twists, but it'll get the blood flowing good before you start anything. I've got secondary scoliosis and I regularly stretch so to reduce the chance of my spine going through a spasm and having to be horizontal for a week.
