light goes out. Help? When I push down on the break, the left break light comes on, the left tail light remains lit, the right break light does not come on and the right tail light *goes out*. I was just stopped by an officer because of the issue with the right tail light. Does this sound like something I could easily fix myself, or like a major electrical problem? Anyone got any solid idea of how much of a headache I have in store, dealing with it?
I don't think the problem is with the bulb. A month or so ago I was having the timing belt changed in the car and had noticed that the back right break light was extremely *weak*. I asked the mechanic if he could fix it. He told me he tried to, but that the problem was not with the bulb, it was an electrical problem. I asked my father (the previous owner of the car) about it and he said that break light had been weak for years and that fixing it had been determined to not be worth the expense. I get the impression the problem may have grown since then.
