I drive a 2003 Jeep Liberty, My car violently shakes when I hit the brakes.?

This isn't like ALB systems, I can feel it in the steering wheel, and my brake pedal. It is so bad that I can barely hold the steering wheel, any idea what my problem (with the car) is?
