The dream was very vivid. Basic background: I had a boyfriend many years ago who ended up going to prison (drug charge) for many years. I always stayed in touch, but then we both let go. Years later, I met a new guy. A few months after, old boyfriend had his mom contact me specifically to tell me he still loved me. Contact resumed through letter writing and prison visits. New boyfriend and I had separate issues that made our relationship difficult enough. We broke and reunited several times.When ex got out of prison, we hooked up, but feelings were gone or different. We went separate ways. I have tried really hard to keep relationship with the newer boyfriend good despite some serious serious challenges. He knows about my ex and that we were in touch while he was in prison. Although we have had our difficulties, he is stubborn about staying with me-saying he believes we are meant to have a future together and that he cannot love anyone else. He does not know that I was in contact with the ex several times once he got out. One of the most intimate things we do is shower together lovingly and he washes my hair. Very sweet and romantic..........just a few nights ago I dreamed that my EX-BOYFRIEND and I were in the shower and that my boyfriend walked in on us. I refused to get out of the shower and wouldn't let my ex-boyfriend out to fight with my newer boyfriend. I told my newer boyfriend to just leave. He wouldn't. He ended up sitting on the floor right by the door, pouting--while the ex and I continued showering together and kissing, etc. After a while he walked out and went and got my mom (who in real life likes neither one of them and also lives two states away). She sat outside my bathroom and chastised me for being in the shower with the ex and for hurting current boyfriend's feelings. I proudly came out later with ex (in our bath robes) and stood before both her and my newer boyfriend and said that I would not hide the fact that I loved the ex anymore...and then I woke up....
