I drank one time while on probation; will I go to jail?

I'd been sober just over 6 months, but foolishly and impulsively gulped down about 4 ounces of 80 proof liquor the other day. I go to AA meetings 4 to 5 times a week, have a sponsor and am very open about my alcoholism and my recent failure. I realize this incident does not necessarily derail my chances of recovery, and even if I have to go to jail I am still determined to work on my sobriety.

But my question (for those outside of AA) is this: Do you think my probation officer will consider giving me another chance, seeing that I am involved in the fellowship of AA, working with a sponsor and a therapist, and that this is an isolated incident? Or have I lost all credibility?

did you get in trouble after gulping the liquor? How will he know? One day at a time. Fall down, get back up again.

All conversations at an AA or NA meeting are considered "priveleged" and cannot be used in any court.
otherwise the entire system would be pointless.
