I downloaded the "Wolfenstein Enemy territory" game from download.com and it freezes...?

Every time i run the game it eventually freezes I hav'nt been able to even get to the menu yet. How can I fix this?
I have made it to the menu I click play online... then nothing shows up and everything freezes
